When you submit the form on the Contact page we receive the name, email address, and message you typed. Nothing else.
Who we are
Peosu Limited is a private company limited by shares, incorporated in Tanzania on 12 December 2025 (BRELA #191776399, TIN 191-776-399). Our registered office is at Maduka Matatu, Kimara Ward, Ubungo District, Dar es Salaam (P.O. Box 2399, postal code 16104).
This policy explains how we handle personal information you give us through this website. Our mobile and backend products (Hubi, AfricaPoa) publish their own privacy policies that describe data collected through those services.
What we collect
Only what you give us, and only what we need to reply.
Server logs
Our web server (Nginx) records standard access logs: the requesting IP address, time, page requested, and browser user-agent string. These rotate automatically.
Newsletter sign-up
When you submit the newsletter input we receive your email address and forward it to our team mailbox. We hold the list ourselves — no Mailchimp, no Substack, no other third-party mailing-list service — and we will not share or sell your address. To opt out, email us.
How we use it
- Contact-form data is used solely to reply to your message. We do not enrol it in any marketing list, sell it, share it with advertisers, or pass it to third parties.
- Server logs are used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and debugging.
- We do not run analytics, behavioural tracking, or advertising pixels on this site.
Cookies and tracking
peosu.com sets no cookies of its own. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any other tracker.
One third-party connection happens when your browser loads the page: typography is served from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google may log your IP address and user-agent string as part of that request. We plan to self-host the fonts to remove this dependency; this policy will be updated when that change ships.
Where the data lives
Contact-form submissions are received by our backend service at hubi.peosu.com (operated by Peosu Limited — not a third party) and stored in our PostgreSQL database. The infrastructure runs on Oracle Cloud servers under our administrative control.
Server access logs are stored on the same host. We do not export or replicate either dataset to outside processors.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages: retained for up to 24 months from the date of the last reply, then deleted.
- Server access logs: rotated and discarded within 30 days.
- Earlier deletion on request — see "Your rights" below.
Your rights
Under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to processing, or withdraw a consent you previously gave.
- Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
Children
peosu.com is a corporate site and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors through this website.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Where the change affects how we use existing data, we will notify people who have contacted us before the change takes effect.
